Encore Program is a Social/Vocational Rehabilitation Program located in Huntington Beach, California, that provides a stimulating and educational environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are at least 18 years old.  The program is site and community based, and is designed to provide offerings in Health and Wellness and Vocational Skills and Training.

bulletEncore Program's Health and Wellness track focuses on the individuals’ personal growth and emotional well being. 
bulletGroup therapy and individual guidance from counselors are available to assist clients in areas such as developing self-esteem, coping with stress, and integration within the non-disabled community.
bulletConsultations from Speech and Physical Therapists are also available, as well as individual treatment in those service areas.
bulletEncore Program's Vocational Skills and Training track provides hands-on production of artistic products, as well as courses in practical work application such as sales, promotion, marketing, stocking, and inventory.
bulletParticipants are provided with opportunities to earn self-generated income from the sale of their products.
bulletThe program is designed to focus on the challenges and meet the needs of each individual.

Offerings change twice per year to allow access to a variety of activities and interests.  Encore Program generally includes subjects such as:

            Visual Arts & Music

            Dramatic Arts & Creative Writing

            Current Social Issues & Events

            Community Outings

            Guest speakers

            Nutrition & Exercise

            Transition Support

 

This program also serves those who require assistance with activities of daily living, communication, and mobility.
