News & Web ChangesIf you've visited our website before, you may notice a name change in one of our programs. Creative Arts Program was renamed "Clinical Arts Program," to more aptly describe the new services that we provide at this location. We have expanded our mental health counseling services to include counseling services for community members who have disabilities. Meanwhile, clients attending the program are enjoying more adventures such as providing traveling arts presentations and participating in volunteer community projects. Encore Program is also changing. We are offering new opportunities in vocational training, particularly for clients who wish to be self-employed. Employment training projects include building an e-store to sell hand-crafted creations, and partnering with *Grandma Gillie's Greetings -- Cards With a Cause as a fundraising effort, featuring gifts created by IRT clients. (*Click on Grandma Gillie's link, located on the left column of this page, to purchase gifts, jewelry, art, or to send flowers. A portion of your purchase will automatically be donated to IRT.) We are also undertaking another project at our Huntington Beach facility. Plans to bring rehabilitation treatment specifically for our clientele are underway. Consultants who have expertise in disabilities and Speech & Language Pathology and Physical Therapy are working with IRT to build these services into our existing day-program.
